They’ll expand and contract throughout the day and night, depending on the amount of food present. The active part of coral reefs are the polyps. I am glad that you can still ask that, but I cannot allow you to remain in your state of naive innocence much longer. How on Earth can be be brutal?ĭear Deity. (Side note:Am I the only one who think it should be coral reeves? Leaf–leaves reef–reeves.)īut, well, coral reefs are embedded in calcium carbonate shells that they build. I’m proud of myself.Īnd the other piece of trivia: coral reefs are brutal. The traditional yellow-ness of post-it notes was really an accident the lab next door only had yellow scrap paper with them at the time. So I can record my origami dragon’s dietary habits. He was definitely eating that watch band. (This is why I should get an iPhone. What was that? It doesn’t look like it was eating anything? Pshhhhaaww…that’s just because the photo quality is so bad. (Strange, I know–how often does that happen?!) He was eating oatmeal, and my origami dragon was eating his watch band.
